How we help

Evidence-based ADHD support

Our therapists provide practical, evidence-based support for living with ADHD, drawing on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) adapted for ADHD, skills-based coaching for focus, planning, and follow-through, and tools for the emotional side, the frustration, restlessness, and self-criticism that often come with it. We provide therapy and skills support rather than formal testing, and when medication or an evaluation is part of the picture, we coordinate with trusted providers.

You're not alone in this

Does any of this sound familiar?

Starting a dozen things and finishing none of them
Time slips away no matter how hard you try
Plenty of ideas, but the follow-through never comes
Tired of being called lazy when you're trying so hard
If this sounds familiar, you're in the right place. You're not lazy or broken, and the right support genuinely helps.

Understanding ADHD

What ADHD really is

ADHD is not a character flaw or a matter of trying harder. It is a difference in how the brain handles attention, motivation, and follow-through, which is why the usual advice to just focus or get organized so often falls flat. It can look like distraction, but also like hyperfocus, restlessness, running late, or an inner engine that will not idle.

Years of that can leave a residue of shame, especially for people diagnosed late. The good news is that ADHD responds well to the right support. With practical skills and understanding, day-to-day life gets more workable, and you get to stop blaming yourself for wiring you did not choose.

CBT for ADHD>cbtAnxiety>anxiety, Child & Teen>child, See all our focus areas>howwehelp
Can therapy actually help ADHD? ~~ Yes. Alongside or without medication, therapy for ADHD builds real-world skills for focus, time, and organization, and addresses the anxiety, low mood, and self-criticism that often ride along. It works with how your brain is wired rather than against it. ||| Do you diagnose ADHD or do testing? ~~ We provide therapy and skills-based support for ADHD, and we can talk through your symptoms and history. For formal testing or a medication evaluation, we coordinate with trusted providers so you get the right next step. ||| Is it therapy or medication that helps ADHD? ~~ For many people it is both. Medication can turn the volume down on symptoms, and therapy helps you build the habits and skills to work with them day to day. You can start with therapy and decide about the rest as you go. ||| Do you work with ADHD in adults as well as kids? ~~ Yes. We support teens and adults navigating ADHD, including people diagnosed later in life who are finally making sense of years of feeling scattered or behind. ||| Does insurance cover ADHD therapy, and what does it cost? ~~ Often, yes. We are in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare/Optum, so most people pay a copay set by their plan. We also offer transparent cash rates, and we confirm your exact cost before your first session. ||| Can I do ADHD therapy online? ~~ Yes. We offer telehealth for anyone located in Arizona, which many clients find easier to keep up with, plus in-person care at our five Valley offices. ||| How soon can I get in? ~~ Our care team usually replies the same business day, and most new clients are seen within a few days, rarely more than a week. If you need to be seen sooner, tell us and we'll do our best to fit you in. Telehealth often opens up soonest.
