That belief has guided The Healing Effect since 2019. Today we are a counseling practice across the Phoenix Valley, with telehealth throughout Arizona.

The Healing Effect began with a simple idea: reaching out for help should lead you to someone genuinely ready to help. The more we asked what great care really takes, the clearer the answer got. It comes down to the person across from you, and the place that person works.
So we built that place, a practice designed to support the therapists who sit with you. Because when they are cared for, you feel it.
The best care for our clients starts with how we care for our clinicians.
To create safe, supportive, affirming spaces where people can speak openly, feel understood, and move toward meaningful healing and growth.
Our therapists learn from one another, think through cases together, and never stop growing their craft.
Offices across the Phoenix Valley, telehealth throughout Arizona, and major insurance accepted.
Clinicians with the time, training, and backing to do their best work for the people they serve.

Healing happens in relationship. Everyone who comes to us deserves to feel safe, understood, and met with warmth and dignity, right from the first hello.

An LGBTQIA+ affirming practice and a judgment-free space where healing can happen for every identity, every orientation, and every color of the rainbow.
Culture grows from shared values, not policies. HEAL names the commitments that shape how we care for clients, work alongside one another, and carry our professional responsibilities.
Every person we meet, client or colleague, deserves dignity and respect. We begin with empathy, and make room for each person's story, identity, and experience.
Therapy is built on trust, and trust requires integrity. We hold a high standard in confidentiality, boundaries, and honoring the people who place their trust in us.
Reliability is its own kind of care. We show up, communicate clearly, and follow through, so therapeutic work can unfold on steady ground.
Strong clinicians stay curious. Reflection, consultation, and continued learning are part of the work here, not merely a requirement for licensure.
Our therapists are the heart of this work. Meet a few of them here, and find the whole team on the Our Therapists page.
