Kenny Allred, LMFT

Meet Kenny

If you are questioning your faith or untangling the impact of a high-demand religious environment, you may feel anxious, disoriented, or unsure of who you are becoming. Spiritual shifts can bring grief, shame, identity confusion, and strain in relationships that once felt secure. You may feel caught between who you were taught to be and who you are now becoming, unsure where you belong as your beliefs, values, and sense of self begin to change.

I help adults navigating faith transitions, religious trauma, and spiritual deconstruction. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that your questions are not pathology. I integrate EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, ACT, and IFS-informed work to support steady, collaborative, embodied healing.

You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you are sorting through fear, loss, identity, or belonging, therapy can be a place to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with your own voice. Healing is possible, and you deserve support as you find your way forward.

Who Kenny Helps

Kenny works with:

  • Adults navigating faith transitions, faith crises, or spiritual deconstruction
  • People healing from religious trauma or high-control / high-demand religious environments
  • Individuals experiencing anxiety, shame, or identity confusion after leaving or questioning their faith
  • Adults working through grief, loss of community, or family tension related to religious change
  • People struggling with religious guilt, fear, or internal conflict around belief and identity
  • LGBTQIA+ individuals processing the impact of faith or religious teachings on identity
  • Adults facing life transitions, relationship challenges, or personal identity shifts
  • People seeking trauma-informed therapy that integrates spirituality, identity, and emotional healing

How Kenny Helps

Kenny offers trauma-informed therapy for adults navigating the emotional and relational impact of faith transitions, religious trauma, and spiritual deconstruction. Many of his clients are processing grief, shame, anxiety, or identity confusion after questioning long-held beliefs or leaving high-demand religious environments. Kenny creates a supportive space where clients can explore these experiences without judgment and reconnect with their own values, voice, and sense of self.

His approach is relational and collaborative, grounded in the belief that questioning faith or beliefs is not something that needs to be “fixed.” Instead, therapy becomes a place to understand how belief systems, family dynamics, and the nervous system have shaped emotional patterns and identity. Kenny helps clients untangle fear, guilt, and internalized messages so they can move forward with greater clarity and self-trust.

Kenny integrates several evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness practices, and IFS-informed work. These modalities support healing that is both emotional and embodied, helping clients process trauma, regulate their nervous system, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others as they build lives more aligned with who they are becoming.
