Charisse Moore, LMSW

Meet Charisse

Living with chronic pain or illness can be exhausting, physically, emotionally, and mentally. It can shape how you see yourself, affect relationships, and leave you feeling unseen or disconnected. Charisse understands how overwhelming it can feel to carry these invisible burdens and the courage it takes to seek support.

Her approach is collaborative and compassionate, grounded in the belief that healing happens when both the mind and body are supported. Charisse combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic and Mind-Body techniques, and mindfulness-based interventions to help clients process trauma, manage anxiety, and reconnect with their sense of purpose.

Charisse’s therapy style is warm, culturally responsive, and strength-based, helping clients build self-awareness and emotional resilience at their own pace.

Who Charisse Helps

Charisse works with:

  • Adults navigating chronic pain, illness, or medical trauma
  • Women seeking balance, confidence, and healing
  • Black and African American clients seeking culturally responsive therapy
  • LGBTQ+ individuals exploring identity or healing from trauma
  • Caregivers and families impacted by illness or loss
  • Professionals and healers experiencing burnout or compassion fatigue
  • College and graduate students managing stress and life transitions
  • Creative professionals seeking emotional clarity and renewed purpose

How Charisse Helps

Charisse helps adults navigate chronic pain, chronic illness, medical trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, ADHD, and trauma-related distress. She also supports couples and families managing stress related to illness or caregiving. Her integrative and holistic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused and Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness-based, person-centered practices.

Charisse specializes in culturally responsive care for Black women, LGBTQ+ clients, and those seeking an inclusive, empowering space to heal. She focuses on helping clients release self-judgment, strengthen coping skills, and build confidence to create lasting emotional and physical wellness.

If you’re ready to move from surviving to living with clarity and calm, Charisse provides a safe, affirming space to begin your journey toward healing and balance.
